Summer Duet quilt

I finished the top today, it's always a good day when a top can be done!  Now on to long arming.  I have 4 finished tops that need long arming.  I should be able to get them all done this week!

My latest efforts

I've taken a bit of time off from quilting to work outside, and am getting back to the sewing machine this weekend.  It feels good!  I'm working on my next quilt top, a quilt called Summer Duet from Fons and Porter.  It's a present for a cousin in Arizona, I'm thinking of using a layer of flannel instead of batting since she lives in a hot area of the country.

I finished a table topper in January:

And here's a lap quilt, using 1850's textured reproduction fabrics.

Ode to the sewing machine #22

Many of you follow my "Ode to the Sewing Machine" posts.  We've all seen the ads on craigslist, ebay and elsewhere.  The clueless sellers give those of us who sew a belly laugh, or two!

Tetanus shot needed just to look at the poor thing.
