I wanted a challenge and to stretch my quilting skills when I chose the Hearts and Apron Strings quilt. I'm happy with how it's turning out, it's a fun quilt and the pattern is a good one. Today I'm working on the scalloped border and here's a picture of what I have done so far...
This is what it will look like when I get mine done...

Hi, I've been trying to buy the pattern for this quilt. Sold out is all I land on, e.g. ebay, amazon, and Sharon Schamber's site doens't hav it either. Any ideas as to where I can get a copy? Thanks, susan
The pattern is in 6 issues of the Quilters Newsletter magazine from 2004. The April thru October issues. 4 of these issues are for sale on ebay right now and if you watch the other 2 issues should come up for sale eventually. That's how I found mine, I bought them on ebay. Someone has already bought mine or I would offer them to you!
I have been working on this quilt off and on since 2005. It was for my daughter's wedding. We decided we didn't like the T block, so I am replacing it with a Boston Commons border. Just pulled it out to work on it again. Didn't realize it had so much done. My goal is to finish it by April (Stephanie's 16th wedding anniversary). I don't have the instructions for parts 5 and 6 with the box it was in. But I changed part 5 anyway, so I can wing it for the last row. I am sending the center out to be emboidered. 9 patches are complete and put together into the 4 rows. Haven't touched the applique. Just about done making the Churn Dash Blocks - 8 to go. I have at least 1/2 of the fabric cut for the Boston Commons border and about 1/6th of it is sewn together. Can't do anymore until I have the rest together to figure out how big to make it. It is a shame I didn't pull it out to work on it sooner in the year. It would have been perfect to work on in the gazebo during the nicer weather. Good luck with finishing yours - it looks great. I'm going to start looking for someone to machine quilt it as the lady I wanted to hand quilt it decided it was to big for her to work on. Linda
